Jim L. Mora is a coach of the people. That was made evident to me after this year’s annual UCLA Spring Game. Signing autographs mobbed by Bruins gridiron faithful on the Rose Bowl turf, I asked the second year head coach if he’d mind answering questions while he inked helmets and jerseys for the fans.
He politely said, “I really apologize but I’d like to give my full attention to these people because the fans are who really matter.”
