Trade Deadline Recap: Clippers send Antawn Jamison and Cash to Atlanta, Byron Mullens to Philadelphia

No Earth-shattering Los Angeles Clippers trades were made at Thursday’s NBA trade deadline.

That’s unless you count sending little-used 15-year veteranAntawn Jamison and an undisclosed amount of cash to the Atlanta Hawks for the rights to 6-foot-7 forward Cenk Akyol. Akyol who was an Atlanta Hawks second round pick in 2005 and is currently playing in Turkey. The Clippers also sent little-used center Byron Mullens and a future second-round draft pick to the Philadelphia 76ers for a conditional draft pick – no game-changers for the Clippers.

Celebrating point guard Chris Paul‘s return after being sidelined for six weeks with a separated right shoulder, the Los Angeles Clippers (36-18) toyed with thePhiladelphia 76ers (15-37) winning by 45 points in front of the 120th consecutive Clippers sellout at Staples Center.

All-star point guard Chris Paul returns to the Clippers lineup tonight with Los Angeles hosting the Philadelphia 76ers.

Paul, who is averaging 20 points and a league-high 11 assists, separated his shoulder in the third quarter against the Mavericks in Dallas on January 3rd and – according to Clippers coach Doc Rivers – is ready to go.
