Finishing up a homestand before leaving town for the annual two-week Grammy Awards Road Trip, the Los Angeles Clippers made a monumental  fourth quarter comeback – trailing by 17 points with just under five minutes left in the game – and beat the Dallas Mavericks, 129-127 to run the table on the four-game homestand.

The Los Angeles Clippers will try to do what their hallway rivals, the Los Angeles Lakers, couldn’t do – win their last game at Staples Center before hitting the road for the two weeks known as the Grammy Trip.

The Clippers (26-13) host the Dallas Mavericks (23-16) tonight – five days after torching the Lakers by 36 points, 123-87 at Staples Center.

In his pregame press conference, Los Angeles Clippers head coach Doc Rivers was asked how he was going to have his team approach his former one – the Boston Celtics.

 “We have to approach our team.” Said Rivers. “That’s how we approach the Celtics. With all the injuries and thing’s we’re dealing with, we can’t afford to look at anything but our team every night.”

The Los Angeles Clippers enter their third game without all-star point guard Chris Paul tonight when they host the Boston Celtics at Staples Center.

Paul went down with a separated right shoulder last week in Dallas against the Mavericks that’ll keep him out of the lineup for six weeks.

Prior to Monday night’s game against the Orlando Magic at Staples Center, Los Angeles Clippers all-star point guard Chris Paul addressed the media for the first time since separating his right shoulder in last Friday’s win over the Mavericks in Dallas.

Saying he was done feeling sorry for himself after being put on the injured list for six weeks, Paul and head coach Doc Rivers said he would become a part-time assistant helping out from the bench.
